Realpeoplez, born James Bernard Kelly and raised in South Miami-Dade, Florida, discovered his passion for music at just four years old after hearing Slick Rick for the first time on his sister’s radio. That moment sparked a lifelong devotion to Hip-Hop and storytelling. He was profoundly influenced by his late sister Annquinetta Kelly, a professional choreographer and dancer who appeared in legendary productions such as Destiny’s Child “Say My Name” and projects with Ginuwine & 112. Her legacy of movement, discipline, and culture helped shape the foundation of his artistry.
A true multi-hyphenate, Realpeoplez is a feature artist, songwriter, producer, composer, video director, actor, and screenwriter, as well as the Founder and Parent Owner of Shotta G Entertainment Inc. (SGE)—a company he created for the people. While SGE proudly manages Realpeoplez, it also extends the same resources, opportunities, and accommodations to emerging artists, ensuring they receive the support he built for himself as an independent creator. Shotta G Entertainment is a full-service entertainment company and one-stop shop, offering artist management, guest speaking and appearances, live entertainment, entertainment rentals, and comprehensive entertainment services under one roof.
Fully independent, Realpeoplez has written, executive produced, and produced five studio albums, along with numerous singles. His debut album New Born King was released in 2021, followed by the single “C’est La Vie” in August 2023 and The Sicario Mixtape in October 2023. In the summer of 2024, he released The Ghetto Aristocrat EP and is currently developing The Ghetto Aristocrat Vol. 1 for 2025, while simultaneously working on Money, Sex & Rap Music—a highly anticipated album targeted for late 2025 or early 2026.
Driven by authenticity, independence, and community impact, Realpeoplez continues to build a legacy that blends music, entrepreneurship, and full-scale entertainment services—not just for himself, but for the next generation of artists coming up behind him.
